Amazon Career Choice
Amazon Career Choice is an education benefit that empowers employees to learn new skills for career success. Employees have the opportunity to study at their own pace while earning credits toward an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or academic certificate.
Charter Communications

Benefits:
- Application fee waived
- $10,000/year + $1,000/year scholarship from UofL
Employee eligibility: full-time or part-time employees.
- Charter’s education benefit can provide up to $10,000 per calendar year (in the form of direct pay or reimbursement) toward your program’s expenses, such as tuition, books, and supplies. Programs must fall within pre-approved fields of study, which are confirmed through Guild.
To begin the approval process with Charter, please follow these next steps:
- Visit Guild to fill out the Education Benefit Application.
- This application must be completed to verify eligibility. For more information regarding the requirements of eligibility, please refer to the Education Benefit Policy on Panorama or visit HR.
- The review process can take several weeks.
- Once your application is reviewed, you will receive confirmation that your program is approved or denied.
- Once approved through Guild, reach out to your HR Generalist at Charter Communications. This will help ensure you receive your additional $1,000 scholarship from UofL for being a Charter employee.
- After program approval, you will submit more information to Guild regarding your courses such as payment method (reimbursement or direct pay).
- Other information requested may be: transcript, tuition bill, receipts for books or supplies, etc.
- After submitting course information, reimbursements can take up to three pay periods to be disbursed.

- Application fee waived
- $2,000/year (degree-seeking) or $1,000/year (certificate-seeking) + $1,000/year scholarship from UofL

Please reach out to Bennie McCall, Chief Workforce Officer at MCHC, at bennie.mccall@mtncomp.com to indicate that you plan on utilizing your education benefits. After that step is completed, MCHC will submit an approved list to UofL, and then MCHC will pay directly for tuition cost. Please note that classes must be completed successfully in accordance with University policy.
