Mission
The Office of Institutional Research, Analytics and Decision Support (IRADS) collects, maintains, analyzes, interprets, and disseminates data regarding characteristics, operations and policies of the University of Louisville. IRADS is the repository for official University data. IRADS produces timely, accurate and unbiased statistical analyses regarding UofL in response to requests for information from key constituency groups both within and outside the university.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
The Office of Institutional Research, Analytics, and Decision Support (IRADS) creates and maintains official census files including the following data:
- Applications and Admissions
- Enrollment
- Course Information and Grades
- Entrance Exam Scores
- Faculty/Staff
- Financial Aid
- Degrees Conferred
- Land, Building, and Room Use
- 6-year Graduation Rate
- Retention Rates
- Census Data (Cards Analytics) are extracted from PeopleSoft/Workday on a specific date.
- The data undergo extensive validation and cleanup.
- The data reconsidered "static" once validated.
- The data are reported externally to all regulatory agencies.
- The analyses can be replicated.
- Transactional data change daily, cannot be replicated, and are used for internal planning purposes only.
- Enrollment and Credit Hour data are updated each semester.
- All other data are updated annually (please see the Cards Analytics table of contents for the complete schedule).
Definitional differences (i.e. freshmen versus first-time in college) in the metrics being analyzed.
The data source used (transactional versus census data).
