Learn American Sign Language

UofL’s American Sign Language Interpreting Studies (ASLIS) program provides students the training needed to function as qualified ASL/English interpreters. This includes learning ASL and Deaf culture, understanding and applying the fundamentals of the interpreting process, and an immersive practicum experience. The 121-credit program emphasizes communicative and cultural competency as well as critical thinking abilities that can be used in both academic and non-academic careers.
