Regional Scholars Eligibility
Accepted first-time freshmen and transfers, entering UofL starting Fall 2027 from California, DC Metro, New Jersey, New York Metro, Pennsylvania and Southern New England, will automatically receive this renewable award. Students must attend school or reside in an eligible state or county:
- All California Counties
- All Delaware Counties
- District of Columbia
- Select Maryland Counties
- Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Calvert, Carrol, Harford, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George
- All New Jersey Counties
- Select New York Counties
- Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk and Westchester
- All Pennsylvania Counties
- All Connecticut Counties
- All Massachusetts Counties
- All Rhode Island Counties
- Select New Hampshire Counties
- Hillsborough, Merrimack and Rockingham
All scholarships are open to all eligible students regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability or age. Out-of-state students enrolled in 100% online degree programs are not eligible for admissions scholarships.

$16,000 | 1330-1600 / 29-36 and 3.5 weighted GPA | 21+ transferable credit hours (7+ courses) and 3.5 weighted GPA |
Transferable credit hours are credit for classes that count toward a degree program at the University of Louisville. These credits can come from passing AP, IB or Cambridge exams, or by passing a dual credit class that transfers to UofL from another accredited institution. Learn more about credit by exam.
