Directions for the Document Drop Program
Career Center staff members are available to provide feedback on resumes and cover letters through the Document Drop Program. Please follow these steps before submitting your documents for review.
1
Students must be enrolled in a major served by the University Career Center.
Business, Engineering, and Law students should contact their career center.
2
Review the resume and cover letter web pages before submitting documents for review.
This will save you time in the review process.
3
Submit only Microsoft Word documents because feedback is provided using the 'track changes' feature.
Do NOT submit PDFs.
4
Submit a good draft copy.
Critiques are based upon the information on this website. We do not write resumes or cover letters for students.
5
We strive to return the critique within two business days, Monday through Friday.
Peak seasons (especially before career fairs) may take a little longer. Please keep this in mind if submitting for a class assignment deadline.
One of our Career Coaches or trained Peer Career Advisors are happy to provide online feedback for your resume, cover letter or other professional documents. Before submission, students must review the resources on the Resume/CV page and Cover Letter page to create a rough draft to submit. Our staff will offer suggestions on how to improve your documents (in Microsoft Word format), simply fill out the form below and click submit! You will receive a response within 2 business days of submission (Monday - Friday). This could vary in length during peak season.
