If you plan to submit test scores*: ACT (American College Test) or SAT (Educational Testing Service). Test results may be submitted from the testing agency or may appear on your official high school transcript. The University of Louisville is aware of upcoming changes to the format of the ACT which will make the Science Reasoning portion of the test optional. Currently, the only majors that review the Science Reasoning section of the ACT are our Speed School of Engineering programs. For students applying for 2025 terms, the Science Reasoning section will still be reviewed as part of the automatic admission process for engineering applicants. More information regarding applications for future terms will be posted here once available. Please note that UofL remains test optional for all majors, and there are pathways for admission to all of our programs without the ACT or SAT. For more information about test optional policies, please visit https://louisville.edu/admissions/apply/i-am-a-first-time-freshman/admissions-guidelines.
High school transcripts are required for all applicants. Please work with your high school counselor for how to submit your transcript.
